Ryan Forrester is a carpenter and loves making furniture. He spends hours and hours in the forest looking for pieces of timber. Some of the pieces that are not suitable for making furniture, he cuts into logs and uses on the fire in the winter.

Rachael Forrester hates to see trees being cut down and insists that her husband Ryan, the carpenter, only uses pieces of wood that he finds lying about in the forest. Every time she sees a tree chopped down, she plants two saplings in its place.

Patch Forrester has a tidy mind and enjoys nothing more than clearing away bracken and brambles from all the paths in Sylvania.

Penny Forrester is very clever at making decorations from the fir cones, leaves and pieces of wood that her father finds in the forest.
