Hans Von Elkin works in the delivery office in Sylvania sorting parcels and letters. His grandpa was a postman and Hans has been an avid stamp collector since he was a young buck. He inherited his grandpa’s huge collection of albums and is always on the lookout for unusual stamps to add to them.

Helga Von Elkin is very technically minded and studied engineering at university. She spends lots of time with her friend Cedric Walnut, Sylvania’s resident inventor, obsessing over the blueprints and specifications for his latest inventions. When she’s not helping out her friend, Helga works at the tram depot in town helping to keep the fleet of town trams running like clockwork.

Imelda Von Elkin is just as passionate about her hobby as her parents. But it’s not stamps or engineering for Imelda; her favourite hobby is collecting shoes! She has smart ones, flat ones, shiny ones, high ones, a shoe for every occasion. Imelda has a special cupboard in her bedroom designed especially to store and show off her prized collection.
