Originally released in Japan in 1986 the ivory rabbits never actually came to the UK as a family set (apart from a small number of the JP millennium edition). The twin set was released in the UK by Tomy in 1992 as the first ever sitting & crawling babies in UK. A story line was created for the 'Dandelion twins' to explain why they had no family. When the rest of the family got in stock at the SF shop they created the storyline for the remaining characters of this family – hence the Dandelion family name.
When Flair looked at this family in 2001, they split them up to use in various 'Family Life' ready-to-play sets and decided to call them the Butterglove family. However there is no noticeable difference between the Butterglove and Dandelion versions apart from their clothes (and of course the Flair figures had UK style gripping-hands).
